80cc motor wont start. Was running but quit. No spark. New spark plug still no spark. Any ideas on what it can be? Thanks

usually it is wired wrong, but can be a bad CDI

is the kill switch stuck shut? that happens fairly often. if pressing the button doesn't fix it try disconnecting it

This happened to me earlier in the week while riding home. Was compression braking down a hill when my magneto loop quit on me, didn't know until i stopped at a stop sign and it died. It was all rusty inside.

you shouldn't engine brake a 2 stroke, it starves for oil.

Partial throttle, holding speed down a hill does not "starve" the engine at all. I'm not descending mountains or using the engine to stop. I am on a rich oil/fuel mix to begin with, my engine is getting plenty of lubrication.

in an emergency, one can jake-brake these by holding the kill button down hard to the bottom of the hill
