EZM Q-Matic

Discussion in '4-Stroke Engines' started by Kline's Kustoms, Jan 10, 2010.

  1. So I have had my Q-Matic for about 5 days I've gone over 50 miles. I got pulled over yesterday twice in 7 minutes on Orangethorpe in Anaheim. Got two helmets tickets. Cop said he was following me for two miles and he clocked me going 45mph. I am very impressed with the Q-Matic. The only thing I would like is more bottom end. Once you get going above 15mph the gearbox pulls pretty good. Does anyone know where to get a bigger rear sprocket and a whizzer speedometer?

sounds like you may be geared a little high there ??
    top speeds such as that
and being noted by the local pooolice
will not be accepted for long
according to Calif state law -- looks like you have some problems -- regarding speed

did you have a bicycle helmet on ?? or no helmet ??

good luck as you ride that THING

I have a Garmin GPS speedo that is very accurate, but a little pricey. About $160. on Ebay.

I have a 72 tooth sprocket on order for my stretch project :)
I will let you know how going that big works :)
(3400+ miles on my EZM so far :):):))

    Hi Kline's Kustoms,

Help is on the way! Your authorized dealer will be shipped one of EZM's "tuned" pulleys [another name for our #184 pulley].

    Have fun,

    Sounds good Quentin. Thank you.

That's a ton of miles on the EZM! Did you ever have to change any belts, pulleys etc....? Also if that sprocket works out on your bike let me know, I'll get one also.

I have experimented with many sizes of pulleys, and tested many different kind of belts (wrapped/unwrapped, different makers etc...), as well as different clutch springs
the 72 in back should be final test :)

I have never done a thing to the engine but change the oil :)
