Hello! I live in central Ohio; probably not the most hospitable part of the country for a power-assist bike, but so be it, it's what interests me. At present I'm adapting a 35cc Honda engine to a mountain bike style frame. Since I have experience as a professional machinist as well as a degree in electronics engineering there are lots of lots of aspects of this project to keep me busy for awhile.
Right now I'm pursuing using a CVT, either a "pocketbike" unit or a Comet product, and plan to spend some time investigating this idea. At some point I will probably turn my attention to electrical systems and lighting.
