I found this on another site I frequent, or rather a newsletter they send out. Lots of neat stuff and ideas from them on cars, but here is part of an article on home made electric bicycle from scavenged parts. Enjoy I hope.

Interesting use of salvaged materials he achieved. A guy down the street is parting out a late model Honda sedan that was rear-ended - I think I might just walk down and see if it has one of those electric power steering systems, and if so, what he'd take for it.
