Free spinning rear wheel?

I want to make it so I can peddle without going through the engine a way to completely disengage the rear sprocket or let it spin free while pedaling with the engine off. Is this possible? I thought I remembered seeing parts but I don't remember what it was called or what to search for.

what type of engine are you using?

2poke ht kit would need a pull starter and a dual freewheel hub, cus they clutch start normally.

some 4 stroke kits come with such a hub.

Many of the online bike engine vendors offer a hub with a freewheeling motor sprocket. Be advised that 1) you will need a bike shop to lace a rim to the freewheeling hub 2) You will need a pull start on your motor - no more pedal starting. 3) You will need to add a wide crankset to clear the pull start (one piece or 3 piece).
