Hi all:

I installed a "normal" front break on my huffy cruiser which does work better than nothing all....but not by much! And the rear coaster break leaves a lot be desired, don't know if this can be adjusted in any way.

I was hoping to find some type of break like those on mountain bikes....don't know what they are called right now...that would go onto the fork tubes. Of course the fork tubes I have are NOT set up for this so it would have to some type of retrofit deal. Has anyone come accross some type of kit that will do this? I have searched but found nothing so far.

If not has anyone found some type of "magic" break shoe that actually has some stopping power with a normal break set up?

Regards

If you adjust the front "rim" brake, it should almost flip you over.
The front of the pad should contact first.

get long pads.

Break = Coffee break, smoke break, what happens when things go " KAPU."

Brake= Stopping

A good quality pad, " Kool Stop " will change the way you think about brakes. ALSO, keep rim rubbed down with alcohol or spray starting fluid on a cloth & rub the rim.
