Hi all. I just finished my first build, and I'm already thinking of mods I want to perform to make it better. You can check it out in the galleries.

I was wondering if anyone has installed a reliable fuel gauge on their motorized bike. I'm thinking this would be extremely useful for me, instead of being informed by my engine suddenly stopping.

I heard from a guy who works on motorcycles that gauges usually stop working after a while because of vibrations from the engine.

I'm thinking of our John Deere garden tractor when I was growing up. The cap had a clear center, and there was a cork float that, as it moved up or down, twisted a spiral twist strip of steel which had the fuel level 'pointer' attached to it, inside the clear section of the lid.
