I'm trying to replace the fuel lilne on my Robins Subaru EHO 35 and am having a big problem trying to get the black rubber grommet inserted. I don't want to force it and damage the thing. Any suggestions or experience with this out there?

im asssssumin you mean the tank grommet...

two lines?...yes, a pic would be nice, but...

lil dash of oil, and as long as youre careful, grommets usually just pop in...

lol kinda like poping a cherry

Like previously stated lube and pop it in... i apologize i couldn't resist.

Great humor and I was so absorbed by the difficulty of the thing that it all went right over my head. Groan.

I finally took the tank down to my auto mechanic and he got the tank grommet in place for me. It took him about 15 minutes of hard labor and eventually got it bent enough to snap into place. The thing is NOT malleable. He graciously did not charge me.

Thanks for the replies and yes, I should have posted a pic.
