I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to use a frame mounted gas tank on my eh035. was thinking a long fuel line might work?

The small R/S and Honda engines use a diaphram type fuel pump integral to the carb. Any excess fuel gets pumped back to the existing fuel pump via a fuel return line.

If you want to replace the fuel tank on the R/S, you would need to run a fuel return line back to the new tank as well as the fuel line from the tank to the carb.

To use another tank in addition to the standard fuel tank, disconnect the fuel return line to the existing tank, and extend the fuel return line on to the new tank (entering the tank at the top,) run the fuel line down to the existing tank's fuel return, and last, but not least, be sure to seal the vent on the existing tank.

Now, the fuel loop includes both tanks. As fuel is pumped out of the existing tank, it is refilled continuously from the new tank, with the return fuel being dumped into the new tank. Only after the new tank is empty will the existing tank level start to drop... it can act as your reserve tank.

Ref this post from about three years ago.

BTW - Staton sells a 96 oz. tank that'll mount directly to the channel of your friction drive, and it comes with all the hoses you'll need.
