Hello all,

I'm so happy to be here. I just discovered this site tonight and feel like I've come home. Prior to this, my only connection to other motorized bike tinkerers was dealing with David Staton from www.staton-inc.com and the Yahoo power assist group who seemed to be electric-centric. I've found more information relevant to my own approach to motorizing bicycles within the first half hour of browsing this site than almost all time I've spent on other sites.

So I'm the guy that built this:

and many other non-motorized, unconventional 2 wheeled creations. I commuted on that GX31 powered recumbent for the better part of a year, 9 miles each way with a 600 foot hill climb to get home. It was great. 31mph on the flats and I don't know how many miles per gallon. I added a 1 gallon gas tank and found that after a month and a half I still had over a half a tank! At any rate, I'll be making some new posts shortly to the appropriate subject areas. Again, happy to be here.
