I am having trouble with my homelite 25cc engine. So far I cant find a socket that will remove the existing drive shaft with the square hole on the end. Now once I remove this, how can I mount a sprocket/clutch? Anyone else have a homelite?

I used the end of shaft where the head mounts. I cut it off and made a square drive shaft to join the two square holes stuck it back in the engine and tightend the clamp back. This gave me a 5/16 fine thread bolt sticking out that the sprocket will mount to. I'm currently running a friction drive set up on mine exactly the same way without any problems from the drive system.
