is it just Mountainman slowing down -- yet even more ??
or have THINGS slowed down a little on site ??

even though I have a lot of posts here
I don't know a lot about these web sites
this is the only site I visit...

I imagine that it's a normal THING for a few extra to fall away at times ??
and maybe not so many new ones coming in ??

not many here -- but some do get banned
from where I sit -- up top the mountain
the ones who get banned -- to say the very least -- deserve it !!!

thinking that THINGS are starting to pick up a little ??

this is an enjoyable site for the Mountainman -- how are you all doing ??

have fun -- be safe -- as you -- ride that motor bike THING

Well down here in the "Valley of the Sun" it is HOT, I think it was like 110F the other day. In my garage, with just a little fan, I toil away on the newest ride, but only for a little while at a time so I don't pass out from exhaustion. My midday rides are also pretty dangerous, I make sure I take extra fluids, am really careful if I get off the bike and let the sun hit my seat for more than a few minutes. Even the garage sales are bad news, all I see are clothes.

Having just purchased my 5th kit I have come to some conclusions about all vendors, which I plan on posting soon.

Could just be that summer is here and all the winter builds are done an folks are just riding that thing.

IMHO-- If this is Slow, it's not bad. There is no race....no competition.

If people aren't posting, it means they are reading. (& learning)

That's why this forum was created. (Learning & Sharing)

    Enjoy the forum &

well its been over two years since ive had an automobile so im starting to want one again.but it if your waiting on me to give this site up your gonna be waiting a long time!

just think 5 or 6 months of auto insurance is about enough money to buy a whole new kit.

sometimes i think i spend to much time on here.can be counter productive.maybe i can have a mod ban me for a week or two.lol

my comment about passing thru was meant to say
this place used to be comfortable to stay 24/7
now, I feel like I have to sit at the 'kiddie table' while others get to talk at the main table

    the vibes here haved changed

ps...I think Loco was last reported in Florida quite a while ago

I am one of the newer guys, so hard for me to say, but I could correlate it to the gas prices. When gas was $4.50, all kinds of people were looking for alternatives. Now they do not mind driving their hummers and tahoes again.

You would know alot better than i would.Youve been around since the start.I just like seeing new posts from guys like you that were around when i first got on.cause when i dont see them it does feel like a different vibe.

ps...i thought i was still at the kiddie table.

A while back I remembering reading a study about how online discussion groups and forums age, mature, and evolve. Plateaus are reached, allegiances can shift, new comers cycle content over and over again and some old timers grumble about how it ain't like it used to be.

How true any of that is anybody's guess but what social group in real life have you ever known where the dynamic stays the same? This forum to me is active and vital, the best reference database for MBs on the web and contains a deep archive of info.

Even with the amazing amount of knowledge that is here one needs to spread their wings and step away to grow.
I have found a second home that has the best bike builders in the world sharing their talents. Very few are motored
though, so it probably would bore the masses here. When I come back here full time I will be better for it. I've already
picked up many many ideas that will eventually relate to MB's. Frame design, gearing, weight distribution, welding
techniques, custom steering/breaking designs, frame bending,

If I didn't stray, I would have missed out on a vast sea of knowledge. A good example is if one worked at the same job
for years and started a new job. You'd find they do things simular, but with totally different techniques. Its very
important to me to continue to grow. Thats my story and i'm stick'in to it. :dunce:
