Greetings, I am new to forum and hope to be working on an MB sometime before August is over. I am on the hunt for the bicycle as we speak. I'm a big guy so it's been a bit of a challenge thus far. My old bike(Trek Mountain Track 800) from my youth just won't cut it.

hey shamrock; welcome. have fun. ive been able to get bikes off craigs list. another good place is the police dept. they have auctions where you can pick up very expensive bikes for a couple of bucks. where are you? might be a member close by. now lets ride mitch

Thanks for the welcome. I've been scouring Craigslist for the right bike. How comfortably would a 6'2" 280lbs man fit onto the average beach cruiser? I'm thinking I need a larger mountain bike that I can convert into more of a hybrid as I do want to peddle at least half of the time. I have a daily commute of 30 miles round trip.
