I'm building my first bike from a 66/80cc engine I picked up from a garage sale. It's one of the crappy silver painted motors, so I'm sure I'll be looking for a replacement soon.

And I'm learning just what a pain in the butt CARB can be. I believe this motor is considered contraband in this state. Gotta love California protecting me from everything fun. :icon_cry:

Motor may be just fine if you blue print it a bit.

There are a few CARB approved motors but in real life
no one cares what you are riding on the street.

What kind of bike are you putting the motor on?

I'm not sure it's a CARB approved motor. Or EPA even. It looks like the typical 66cc Chinese motor, with a crappy silver paint job and some stickers that I peeled off (and took the paint with it).

But this is the exhaust that it came with:

Kinda small for a cat. It doesn't really matter, because I'm sure both the carb and pipe will be replaced soon.

Right now I'll probably build it on an old Diamondback I have sitting around just to get it on the road. I really need to get a new bike, and when I do I'll transplant it.
