hello friends,

Im back from my eurotrip, and now i will start saving up for my first commuting bike...

i would like to have a bike with 3 gears, lights, and coolness..

while i was in barcelona, i saw this!!! i loved it!!! little wheel in front big wheel in the back...

this bikes are the public bicycle they seem very cool with headlights and back lights (i was guessing they have a generator in the wheel somewhere.....some of the bikes i saw had very big wheel bearings...they looked tough and cool.....what else.....the big wheel back and the small wheel in fron kills me!!

also i would put a 40 cc engine in it...

you guys know how things are called, plz help me find something like it in the US..

ive also noticed that many bikes like cruisers dont have gears....i dont want 30 gears, but 3 or 4 would be cool

ive been doing research and have found little...someone mentioned Georgena Terry’s small bikes...

but so far ive found nothing..

is there a terminology for a bike with small front wheel and big rear wheel???

Any info will be very helpfull...

What you're looking for is something with a Nexus internal hub. There are plenty of 3-speed internal hub bikes out there... I bought mine here:

I got a micargi, and my wife got a firmstrong. Her bike looks to be built much better than mine. Be advised that the internal hub makes it a little tricky to attach the rear sprocket to the wheel because of it's size.

I'm not sure what the advantage to having a small front wheel is, or how you'd go about finding that kind of fork/rack combination on that bike above.

THANX FOR THE REPLY :)

im thinking the small big wheel comb just lowers the front, that way i can have a long chopper styled handle bar...

whats internal hub..the cables go inside??

An internal hub just has all of the gears inside the hub with a cable that connects to the axle to shift the gears. The closeup picture you posted of the bike is a shimano nexus hub.

wow...im learning somethings...ok ive read about a double freewheel hub...it could be a happy time whizzer...
