Help..my motor is smoking

so i just built a new bike 66cc 2 stroke..and the motor is smoking bad..it smells like burnt popcorn..sounds like its going to blow up..smoke from the head and front part of exhuast...did i get stuck with a dud motor? what can I do

running 8z of 2 cycle oil per gallon

Many here will say running 16:1 is too much oil (128/8 = 16). As not all chinagirls are created equal, one has to figure out what makes their particular engine happy.

I suggest running less oil. A general guideline is 24:1 (5.33oz) on break-in and 32:1 (4oz) after. Make sure it is not marine 2-stroke oil. Must be for air-cooled engines.

I'd be looking for a loose/bent muffler flange or a leaking head gasket.

Ur motor smokes cause ur fuel is too rich.it puttn to much oil n ur fuel.plus u need to make sure ur carb needle is at the top motch
