Is there anyway I can reduce wear on a tire with a friction drive bike as much as possible? Need help now, dont want to pay 20 bucks a week for a tire!

Please tell us more about your setup and post pictures. Something is very wrong if you are wearing out a tire after one week of use. But, friction drive means tire wear. You must keep slippage to a minimum.

Could also just be the tires your using.

Mountain bike tires won't last long by just riding on blacktop.
