I'd like to introduce myself, I am a semi retired A/C Contractor, that is also a retired Senior Chief USN (SW), I live on the south prong of histroric Black Creek in Middleburg FL, just south of Jacksonville "GO JAGS". While browsing through ebay looking for a beach cruiser for my wife, I discovered motorbike kits, researched how they were installed, had an unused 1996 Roadmaster mountain bike, $182.00 later, here I am.
The kit is from BGF, no trouble so far, did make a spring loaded chain tentioner, parts from Tractor Supply and a #41 chain, motor isn't broke in yet, tropical Storm Fay is keeping everyone inside.
Looking forward to sharing some ideas on my newfound hobby.

Welcome! Wow another Florida mb. I think we have enough riders in Fl. to have a mini motorbike weekend some where.

Howdy Fritz, I just got started too. This is great fun and just might tempt you more to the retired side. If I could get even part retired I would ride more and build more bikes. I generally get out on the all pedal mtn bike almost every day and thought I'd ride more in the evening on another bike if I had a little motor to help back up the hill. But I'm still pedaling the motored bike 50 - 70%, got a lot of hill around here.

So what about the wife's cruiser? Did you find her one? Maybe you'll have to get her two so she can have one with a motor!

welcome
