Hi- I'm Al. and I am new to motored biking. I am currently putting the finishing touches on a custom Mcullough chainsaw bike. 32 CC's and friction drive. If I can ever get the throttle worked out, I thought I had it last night then I broke my spring, Arrrgh. I am guessing I will be hitting all you specialists up for your knowledge, because I'm thinking I will probably want to get a kit for reliability. Chainsaw is just for fun and to get a feel for it. I've been lurking for weeks and learning. Thanks. Al. :D

Hi, Al, and welcome aboard.

Making your own drive train is cool. On the other hand, the cheaper kits are so inexpensive that the cost might be thought of as virtually nothing. So I'm not sure which I'd recommend. But it doesn't matter; sounds like you're going to do both.

Good for you!
