Hey - I'm exploring the idea of building a gas-powered bike as an alternative to urban car use. I've been evaluating the concept of an electric bike (I just acquired a 'like-new' 24V EV Global) but in order to get the real function I want (20 mile range, 20MPH average in hilly Seattle with 30 lb payload plus my 200-lb self) I'd need to go with about $2,000 of parts that I'd assemble, and I just can't go there. So...I harkened back to my childhood memories of the old Honda 50, and said, heck, let's give a little 4-stroke a try! I've already been exploring the forums and this place looks like a great source of know-how and experience.
