My bike runs good but idles very high

if you can't adjust the idle screw down, the problem will be that the throttle cable is sticking or adjusted too short, or that you have an air leak where the carb attaches

Adjusted idle screw 4 turns out adjusted cable up and down did not make a difference applied choke choke shut motor off then found gas leaking out bottom of engine put hand underneath and fell air coming out between the two halves of the crankcase

Do I need a gear puller for taking this motor apart and ceiling where the gasket is leaking I've never done work like this before

first, clean motor very well - run it just a bit and look to see where any oil residue starts to show

it may be just a seal that's crooked, or the case screws need tightening, or something else entirely

read a lot here about those kinds of things before planning any work
