Howdy folks, Ive been lurking on MB for a while. What a great site. I've been really wanting to motorize my bike and the MB is a real wealth of knowledge. I live in the far western end of North Carolina. It is very mountainous here and there are no bike lanes and very narrow roads. Not to mention that every one under thirty years old thinks they are a race car driver. People around here think that bikes should not be allowed on the road at all. I have only seen one motorized bike on the road here, ever. Are there any other MB members in Western North Carolina. I am in West Asheville and just a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I can only imagine what it's like to ride a bike in the conditions you are describing.
I'm not very comfortable (really) driving in places like that.
