My girlfriends mom works at HP, and mentioned they were having an event for Earth Day. There was an alternative transportation tent, and there were some very cool vehicles there. There was some hybrids, a natural gas truck, a few fully electric cars, an electric cager passenger motorcycle, a homebuilt electric riding lawn mower and some recumbent bicycles.

There was 3 electric bikes, one was just all money no skill, another was a well converted mountain bike, and the best was a fully electric "bicycle" with a custom frame. I put quotes around it because the pedals were removed, but it had a jackshaft and working rear shocks on the custom frame, so it was cool.

I brought in my china girl to be displayed with everything else for the day, with an old china motor with the panels removed.

These are pictures that other people took, I left my phone at home by accident, or I would have pics of the electric bikes up here.

that's cool. I'd enjoy an exhibit like that.

And I'd really, really like it if our roads were filled with vehicles like those.

Just about every time I jump on my bike I think to myself - what if the whole world was going 30-40 miles an hour on bicycles?

Then my mind goes to a magical place where I just see a bunch of gasbikes and ebikes riding up and down the road until ~WOOSH~ an SUV with not a single scratch or grain of dust comes tearing by me at over 60.

The blue truck is actually the electric 3 wheeled cager motorcycle.

I attended an Earth Day festival in Houston. There was a vendor there with Pedego electric bikes but that was about it for two wheeled transpo.
I see more alternative transportation ideas at the parknride where I catch the bus. One guy rides a sweet electric motorcycle to the parknride.
