HS magneto/cdi replacement

Hey all,
I've been resurrecting my MB from the garage after two years of sitting idle. It appears I'm not getting any spark even after I replaced the spark plug. When I checked the spark plug wire, it looks like the metal contacts inside the plug have either deteriorated or been smashed in. In any case, is it easy to splice on a new plug, or can I just buy a new cdi meant for the honda GHX 50?

If you have a remote kill switch on the handlebar check it first before doing anything else...I had the same problem and it was the switch.
