Saw one the other day- a Cranbrick with 29" wheels and a correspondingly bigger frame. The fender stays are re-enforced, the welds look solid and everything about this bikes screams "Motorize me already!!!"
Anybody even driving 29" wheels? I want to know if they are a passing fad

I built one. The wheels have 12g spokes, and the bike is pretty solid except for the fenders & supports. These need to come off of the bike to make it safe. The fenders & supports are so weak that the fenders bump into the tires just riding the bike normal at slow speed without engine power.
