What else would I need to buy to increase the speed of the scooter from 15mph to 25-30mph or more.

For more speed, the first thing to look at is increasing voltage. If you are brave, try adding one or two batteries in series to bring you up to 36V or 48V, see if your controller can handle it.
Can you post specs of the motor thats in the scooter now?

For almost the same price, I would go with the 36V 500W motor down the page.

Put a 36V battery pack together, and try it with your current controller. If it blows up, you could replace it with the 36V 25A Sparrow Speed Controller (a brushed controller). If it doesn't blow up, try a 48V battery pack.

There may be other good controllers out there as well. I know the Sparrow can handle a 48V battery system.

One important thing:

There are two types of electric motors out there: brushed and brushless. Both are good types and will work.

Brushed motors need controllers for brushed motors.

BrushLESS motors need brushless controllers. If it mentions "Hall Effect" then it is a brushless controller.

So the controller you listed would not work with the motor you originally listed. I could not tell if the motor on your scooter now is brushed or brushless. Usually if it is brushed, there are only two wires going to the motor. If it is brushless, there are two big wires and three small wires going into the motor.
