I have searched this site and others for a straight forward answer to which I have found answers but none satisfactory to what I need.

a few things.

I have a 26" Micargi Stealth mens model cruiser with a coaster brake hub.
it is manufactured by KT, (I believe) and the model is Histop, (it could be the other way around.

I want to get rid of the coasterbrake altogether and use rim brakes.

Question: Is it possible to somehow disable the brake so it is a free wheel, and how do I do this if it is?

Any clear diagram would be helpful, by the way this site is awesome.:D

Its simple, remove coaster brake wheel and toss, buy $20 used mountain bike take off rear wheel and place on your bike. If you cannot find a used bike you can buy a freewheel rear wheel cheap online for around $20-30. Add side pull caliper brake to front hole on fork where fender would mount to.
