I'm guilty of responding to old posts

Got a couple reminders that I answer posts that are * years * old

It's a shame to delete helpful posts, can't help but wonder if
much of the advice I got, In the beginning, came from old posts.

Another downside is, better products aren't mentioned, because, at the time of post, the product didn't exist yet.

Could old posts be tagged, or moved to a classic forum ?

They are tagged. Every post is tagged with the date and time it was made, without fail. If you find a post that interests you enough to want to respond, look at the date/time tag in the upper left corner. Then exercise good judgment.

And, if you would like to respond, (for instance, if some new information has come along,) start a new post in the same forum, with a link to the old thread.

I concur with both SS and Lou...sounds like a good idea; we can learn a lot from the past.
