I did a search with no results. Has any one done an impulse carburetor swap on any of these bike motors?

Maybe something like an HT or an HL with a larger intake manifold...

By impulse do you mean injectors or a fuel pump ? There are some threads on the idea.
Several home made intakes are around.
One sponsor has came up with a new type also.
Larger diameter would help a lot.
A dremel and file can help some.
Take a look at the boost bottle site.
Good luck with it.

Fector56, I read those two posts and I will be doing a complete search later today and seeing what else was written.

I can tell you though that the issue you was having with a small bore is an easy fix. Just build a bigger diameter intake manifold and a put on a larger carburetor. These do work best though for the two stroke engines and not as well for the 4 stroke.

A good source for carburetors is int he chainsaw section on ebay. You can find a wide assortment of carburetors on there and for a fair price or even dirt cheap.

Reuilding carburetors is just a matter of buying and kit and replacing parts. Kits usually only run about $6-$14 and rebuilding a carb takes about 5 minutes if you end up with a bad one.

The WY rotary type work better on four strokes than the WA,WT etc butterfly type carbs.
