Hi, I am new to motorized bicycles but have had a number of motorcycles in the past. I am looking forward to my first build. I live in California and have noticed that it is a little more difficult to get motors here. I am partial to 4 strokes from both an environmental and noise perspective, but am open to any technology that is fitting an older rider. Thanks for the forum!

Friction, chain, belt?
Where would you like the engine to be placed?
Over the front or rear wheel, in the frame, on the left side of the rear wheel by the axle?
