Well the new NE5 is back together and it actually starts and idles!

The next step is to get it to run well here at 7200 + feet.

Many many thanks to Quenton and Bill Green.

AlexRSS8,
After reading and rereading this forum I am beginning to believe there may be a bit of Magic involved :)

7200+ feet?.........I'm in Colorado, about 15 miles west of Vail.

Hehehe to put a bike together you need a bit of mechanical skill, a bit of time and a bit of magic....

HEY NEIL:

The atmospheric pressure at your altitude is only a bit over 11 PSI!

Did you ever make a cylinder pressure check?

You're a good candidate for one of Quenton's head-milling jobs!

I live at 3000 ft, and I had my head milled to get back some of that sea-level power at 14.7 PSI.

Happy Riding...
HAL
