just a thought....a long and tedious thought

I believe I may have figured out how to put rear disc brakes on a motored bike

I went to various stores and did a lot of measuring. My 44 tooth sprocket is offset a little in one direction.
the offset is towards the spokes, if i turned it around and bored out the center hole to clear the disc mount there may just be enough room for the caliper, the added sprocket would have to be as straight as possible cause there would not be much room for error.

  2. Good luck getting that sprocket straight straight. Then what of the spokes? Then what caliper would you use?
How would it mount? These are important questions.

i looked at a lot of bikes and the only thing you would have to change on some are the tires cause they were too fat but a normal sized tire appears like it would work just take the wheel off then take the disc off put sprocket offset out, then put disc on re install wheel and try it maybe it'll work maybe not i have no disc brakes to try with

you'd be forced to bbelieve thai oil from the chain would affect braking ability but heck it looks really cool
