hi all
my name is maurice aka moe
i live in sacramento ca and want to build a motorized bike
the problem i have is i dont know anything about what not to do
or what to buy any takers on this question

Hi Moe and welcome aboard.

The best advice I can give is to look over these posts a lot. Read anything that looks like it might be interesting. It won't take long before you have at least some idea of what you want. And then you'll be off and running.

It would help to know your budget, your expected usage, and keep in mind California's more stringent air pollution requirements that might arise in the future.

Basically the price/choices break down to various Chinese brands, then the Japanese/US engines, with rechargeable electric the highest priced.

All have pluses and minuses.

And if you already own a bike, the forum can tell you before you buy a kit whether the durn thing will fit or not.....
