I have been lurking on here for about a month now, figured I should make an account. I got my first kit a few months ago. I got the bike running a few times, but since then it has not been able to start. I live in the Midwest, and right now it is fairly cold.

Welcome to the forum. Part of keeping these contraptions running is to ride them once a week at least. If weather prevents that, it may be better to drain the tank and float bowl until spring, to keep the carb from gumming up. A squirt of oil in the spark plug hole helps too.
