I recently met a guy who put an engine on an old beach cruiser and I talked to him about it and he said that he bought a Kit online and put it together himself. After he let me ride it, I was hooked. Now I'm in a tricky place because I live in California and due to lame f*ck*ing CARB restrictions 99.9% of vendors I've found dont sell to California.
I came here to see if anyone knew a way for me to get around this. I have an 89 cherokee that I've put together for off-road but it gets 15 miles to the gallon, but I drive to the beach 5 days a week (about 4 miles) so if I was to get a bike for $50 and an engine for ~$150 then I'd be saving money and in a small way helping reduce my emissions.
Needless to say, I'm a 20 year old hoodlum beach rat who wants a motor bicycle
