I'm a new member I recently purchased a diamondback bike with a GX35 Honda spindle drive on it. The engine was not running due to cam timing prob.I set timing the best I could with out any info and got it running, but it seems to be a little sluggish. Hoping some one could shed some light on the method for setting it correctly. I'm a fork lift mechanic by trade I have many years of experience with small engines from 8 years of lawnmower shop employment and 11 years in rental yard as mechanic. I have many gas powered scooters and now 2 bikes.

Welcome to MBc, Kevin. Now that you have introduced yourself, be sure to read all you can, including the 'Stickies'. They contain a lot of information. For example, Sticky #1 under ‘Introduce Yourself’ has 20 or so links to “How To…” threads, and important pages for you to follow. Sticky # 3 has info on forums, how you are expected to conduct yourself, and where you might find and use various features. But, read all of them, and be sure to use the search feature. If you are still stumped, post a question in the proper Forum. Good Luck.

In your case, I would try posting your question in the 4-Stroke Forum. But first I would check the Honda site for the the GX35. Most engine sites have service manuals you can download. Or, check with your local Small Engine Shop. In any case, Good Luck to you.
