    just heard in another thread
something about Calif selling a (( universal motorized bicycle license plate )) ?????

Calif is hurting for money -- that's for sure
never heard of such a plate ------------------ until now that is
with the going broke THING going on here in Calif
I think that we should sell motorized bicycle plates to anyone in the world for 9.99

maybe even a ((( two for one deal ))) such as seen on TV ??

Mountainman comes through for Calif !!!

Even if everyone bought one, you guys would still be in the red.

Your state needs to stop giving away the farm and cut spending right away. Giveaway policies only attract the people that take advantage of them. If Cali tightened up their wallet, you guys would just be a rest stop for leeches heading to Canada. (sorry Steve, lol)

yeah, and the other states will be frowning on CAli for figuring out how to make some money before they did.............but oh well.....I may get a couple just in case.

Is the purpose of the government to "make money"? That's a good one.

We the people make it, they take it and redistribute it as they see fit. Legalized theft.

I was being sarcastic. Where i live people ride 4 wheelers and dirt bikes on the roads with no plates. they don't give m.b.'s a second look around here.

of course it is the real deal -- at least in Calif

of course it is the real deal -- at least in Calif
but will it work in Florida once it comes in
that is the real question ??

for sure it would help to also have a standard drivers license
but if no license is available -- for either known or unknown reasons
may be best to do a little homework
and print out some of the Fed Laws that state no drivers license required

    Lieutenant Kelly Anderson

I recently bought a very small gas engine for my

bicycle 1.6 horsepower aprox. speed 20 mph

It is to my understanding from reading the DMV

handbook in regards to motorized bicycles

    is this correct ?

Have a blessed day, Bob B

Mr. B, I checked with one of our traffic officers in regards to your question. You are correct in the fact that you can ride your bike with the motor attached without a driver's license. You still have the same rules and regulations that bicycles have to follow and other then that you are good to go. Thanks, Lt. Anderson

that's why I stated -- you may wish to do some homework
there is much to be found around which states NO LICENSE NEEDED for mororized bicycles
back when I was in need of a little two wheels with motor
    so as to get places
    I found some good evidence
two e-mails that were sent to me by two different pooolice departments -- carried with me at all times

    it was not easy
    I am no computer guy
    I found what I wanted

stating that with no license go ahead and ride that THING
