is it possible to repair the module on a weedeater?
the part where the cord connects to the spark plug is completely messed up. the little metal part that goes around comes right off. so is there any way i can fix that without spending 45 bucks on this engine

Yes there is IF the wire is long enough. Take a knife or razor blade and slit the boot and peal it off. Then remove the metal cap that clips onto the plug. Cut/trim as little as you need from the end. Obtain a new boot, put a little lube on the wire and slide into boot. Replace the metal clip. I like the spring clips.

I'll repeat..Yes it can be repaired IF you have enough plug wire. Take a knife or razor blade and slice through the spark plug boot and remove it (I understand that this is already done). Remove the metal cap that fits over the spark plug. Cut as little as possible off the end of the plug wire to get a good clean end (have about 1/4" wire hanging out if possible). Take a new/another boot and slide it over the wire. You may need a little lube to make it easier. Replace terminal with a new or a good used terminal making sure the plug wire (copper) gets pierced. Pull boot over the plug terminal. I like the spring terminals that is in above post. Looks like a spring with a tab bent out.
If you can't understand this, I'm sorry I can't help you.
