Moving to Houston area and my gas powered bike will not be street legal there.
I could try to register it as a moped, but then I couldn't use the bike lane?
It looks like I may trade my gas motor for electric before moving.
I want to commute to work to Louisiana Street downtown and do not want any hassles with the law. Any advice is appreciated.

A local guy wants to swap his EV Global for my gas bike. I will be looking at it today.
He said it needs new batteries. (the batteries will not charge at all). If that is the only problem with it, I could probably get a good battery set for $200.
Is it possible to determine if the controller and other expensive components are still good if the batteries are dead?
