Need front brake

Looking for ideas on what kind of front brake I can use on my China/Schwinn build. Rear brake only right now and its not enough. I'll try to post a picture. In case picture doesn't load its a cruiser type bike with an old stye springer front fork. Actually a new china copy of the Schwinn from Sears. The springer front fork is as hard as a rock. Doesn't "spring" at all.

i use a s/a drum brake hub on mine i have the same fork set up,.. it was an easy install, weather proof great braking you can even get it with a generator for lights.

Sounds like a good way to go. Is yours a particular brand and who sells them?

one more thing... if I get a front wheel drum brake don't I have to replace the hub? Now I'm looking at new spokes and lacing the wheel?

yes you have to have it laced into a wheel,..

you might want to throw a rear caliper on it while you're looking
