When i bought my kit i didn't realize it didn't have a clutch. I thought the idea of a neutral bracket was a good idea. It eliminates the clutch and all the worries that come with it. Its cool the wheel either is on the tire or is off the tire. Im gonna get the upgrade for my kit and instead of the tacky looking neutral bar. it lifts off the tire with a brake lever. Its alot slicker looking i cant wait for it to get here!!!

And to think that a Happy-Time engine comes with a clutch as standard equipment - goodness grief i don't know what to say, for i can slip the clutch if necessary.
And to think that you can now have a quasi style clutch by applying a brake lever - goodness grief, to think that the Happy-Time engine comes with this option as standard equipment.

Its a poorly casted kit. soon as you get it you gotta upgrade it to make it reliable just think you could be stuck along side the road just like fabian!!! No Clutch No worries!! Have fun!

The China-Girl engine in my bike is very reliable with common aftermarket parts installed: Rock Solid Engines reed Valve Intake, Jaguar CDI, Dellorto carburettor jet, SickBikeParts Air Filter, SickBikeParts spark plug lead and a centrifugal clutch.

The other items are just plain nice to have: pull-start mechanism, Koso Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge, TTO Cylinder Head Temperature gauge, tacho and chain tensioners; chain guides (fixed and roller), front derailleur operated multi-sprocket-stack bottom bracket chain rings, front and rear lights, fuel bottles, gel seat and suspension seat pole, air horn, mirrors and indicators, brake light, mud guards, centre stand, and of course the Pièce de résistance: a heavy haulage trailer train comprising 6 trailers and a BoB IBEX uni-wheel trailer for expeditionary adventures...

Now where were we with your friction drive assembly: dry surfaces only,,, no water, no sand, no mud, no gravel, no creek crossings, no filthy dirty; snotty steep hill climbs, no heavy haulage, no far and away adventures with any of the above!

Why cant i ride long distances. I ride back and forth to work everyday 30miles and have had no problems yet. Theres no steep hills in florida. It works fine in gravel and dirt (dirt roads) i dont what kit you rode. My friend wieghs 300 pounds and stays right next to me on his.why would i wanna cross a creek on my motorized bike. I have a honda cr250 and yamaha big bear 400 for that! Now no water no rain. But my kit has rode for over 4,000miles with no problems and your telling me i cant go on long adventures. Im starting to wonder if you really now anything about friction drive..
