I first heard Newfie jokes in the early 70's when the family vacationed at Lake Huron. This Canadian kid started telling Newfie jokes (had a remarkable similarity to Polack jokes) and all I could think of was "what the hell is a Newfie?" I figured it out eventually.
Been as far as Cape Breton, but never made it up your way. I don't envy you all the snow you're getting, but I know how Canadians love their Ski-Doos.
