Hey Guys,

Been a lurker for a while now, decided I'd finally sign up. Currently I ride a beach cruiser with a 66cc 2 stroke on it.

I am in the process of building a mountain bike with a motor on it as well.

I have one question however,

Is there anyway to dampen vibrations from 30mph+? My hands really start to hurt after cruising that fast for about a min or two.

Anyone else from So Cal on here?

Bad vibes

A few things to try are: Rubber or felt washers.,(supposedly) do not drill mounting hole for motor in frame (i did). Hav'nt tried yey but you can buy a rubberizing sprey paint for bumpers at auto stores. that might damper bad vibes.

Yeah, I am from SoCal.
I have my engine solid mounted, no rubber between the mounts and frame. It appears that more folks have problems with the mounting studs breaking off when the engines are rubber mounted, so that seemed like a no go to me.
To combat the vibrations I use a spring suspended seat and soft, almost gel like hand grips. So far they seem to be working good.
