Found this site after doing some searching for goped info. Have three teens who want the little motorized scooters.

I love to tinker with motors and have been curious about the bikes. Have a garage full of bikes and have an old Diamondback that would look great with a motor on the back-just for me!

Looking at the vendor list was helpful. Maybe a friction drive kit from Stanton (?) would be a good way to go.

BTW, I'm 240lbs- am I too big for these little motors? I understand jack-rabbit starts would be really tough.

YOUR NOT TOO BIG!! i was 225 now 215 have 50cc it can pull me and a bob trailer 40-50 more pounds !!

On the flats weight is not all that inportant,climbing hills it's a different matter due to lack of gearing.Staton kits work well.
