New piston hits head when crankshaft rotated

I replaced the cylinder and piston in a 66cc that was manufactured in 2009 and when I tried to turn it over the piston hit the head. I pulled the piston and could see the wristpin hole was 1/4" lower than the original, making the piston hit the head. The cylinder appears to be the same height as the original. Do they manufacture different pistons for the 66cc engine?

YES they make differnt pistons for the 66/80cc motor the wrist pins are differnt heights

Thanks for the information. Ill try find some of the jug/crankcase gaskets. I ordered a new gasket kit that had one. It doesn't lack much being a 1/4" difference too tall
