Hello all,

As the title says, I am new to this forum, but have built a motor bike in the past. Now that I am retired, I have more time to pursue my ambitions. My old build was a 2 stroker that I bought in 2004 from Mike Simpson at Simpson Motorbikes. I still have it attached to a Micargi, powder blue cruiser. Just haven't ridin it in a while. It's a tank. Back then, Don Grubee still lived in the USA and traveled back and forth to China.

Move forward and my goals have changed. I am going to build a long-tail and install a Huasheng 144f generator engine to make it legal by registering as a motorized bicycle. My goal is to make a quality build that I can ride across the USA. I am an avid cyclist, so the engine will be for assisting my pedaling and carrying panniers on front and back.

Look forward to sharing my build and to gather input from other members.

Welcome to the forum. If I were to try a ride across the USA, I think I would motorize a recumbent bike. It's easier on the back, bootie and less affected by the wind.
