New to Motorized bike in KC

I been a bike rider for years. Just purchased a bike with a kit install off craigslist. Its a 49cc and the guy had a custom tank fab'd for it.
I plan on tearing it down and repainting the frame...maybe add a springer fork.
Any advise is welcomed.

Hi Mk, great looking bike! One word comes to mind though- BRAKES

Thanks, Yeah its a little hard to stop. Has coaster brakes and some bad front brakes.
