Hello all, I've just bought a Sachs 301 ( i believe ) on a FXT Pro sprung frame thing, from a mate at work. I'm hoping it will prove a viable means of getting to and from work. Its very hilly here in Tasmania, and I have some weight to shed, so lets hope I dont burn the poor little drive out first!
These things are sold here in Oz for around $1500 to $2K, plus you supply the bike. They are more popular in flatter towns like Adelaide, or Melbourne.

Welcome aboard.

I'm afraid I know nothing about that motor.

But someone will come along who does. At a guess, though, it probably has the power you need.

Have fun.

I've yet to ride the thing properly, as it needs a new pedal fitted, and having done some research, I've discovered why it was so cheap! It would appear that the legislators here are mumbling about banning all internal combustion assisted bikes. Then we will all be back to M/Cycles or cars. Does anyone here in Oz know if this is fair dinkum?
