Ive been into bikes for a while but im plaining on building a motorized bike, i have an old shwinn road bike that i think is bigger than a 21 inch frame, i have a 5 horse briggs side shaft engine to put in, sorry about asking a question when intoducing myself but is there a clutch that will work with a mtb chain and the 5 horse?This bikes gonna be a beast when im done with it.

Welcome. 5hp will probably make your bike a moped, with the attendant legal issues.

Welcome to MBc. My 1st guess is that you're talking about using the engine to drive the MTB gears. My second guess is that the Briggs will eat the derailer, chain, and probably the gears.
