newbie - 39 elgin with 3hp briggs and stratton?!!?

First time builder, lifelong cyclist. Looking to jump in with both feet and a 39 elgin frame bought from town scrapper for a 5spot!! Have a 3 hp b&s edger engine and 20 years of machine shop experience. Anybody have something like that with pictures so I can get a better understanding of design and theory? I have only seen the kit motorized bikes in person. Looking to get better understanding of jackshaft and the reasoning behind it. I'm sure there will be plenty of questions when project gets underway, just looking for a little education before I start. Thanks for accepting me to group Anton!!!

Welcome! Reason for a jack shaft is to align motor sprocket with wheel sprocket in some cases, or transmit power to the opposite side of the bike in order to take advantage of the gearing.
